About Me

I have been teaching private piano lessons since 1997 and am passionate about helping students of all ages and abilities discover the joy of making music. Whether a student is just beginning or studying at an advanced level, My teaching style is to build a strong technical foundation while developing musical expression, confidence, and a love of music.

As a professional collaborative pianist and accompanist, I have worked with vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs, and ensembles in a variety of educational and performance settings. I have served as an accompanist and Adjunct Faculty member at Concordia University Irvine and as an accompanist and instrumental coach at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. Earlier in my career, I was a piano accompanist at Brighton High School in Rochester, New York. These experiences have enriched my teaching and allow me to prepare students for recitals, auditions, competitions, and collaborative performances.

I look forward to sharing my love of music and helping each student reach their fullest potential!

In addition to teaching piano, I have served as an organist for Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Westwood United Methodist Church, Anaheim United Methodist Church, and churches in other states.

I was an active member of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and I believe that every student deserves instruction that is both encouraging and challenging.

My academic training includes one year of doctoral study in Organ Performance at Indiana University, a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance from Yonsei University.
